Food safety. Every "can cats eat" verdict comes from the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center, PetMD (veterinarian reviewed), VCA Animal Hospitals or a veterinarian-written guide from Embrace Pet Insurance, linked on each page. We put the advice in our own words and never add claims the sources don't make. Where cat-specific evidence is thin, we say so and take the cautious line.
Plants. Toxic and non-toxic status comes from the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center's plant lists. Lily details come from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Plants we couldn't verify are left out.
Calories. Calories per serving come from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy). Daily calories use the resting energy formula and life-stage factors published by the Pet Nutrition Alliance. Treat budgets are 10% of daily calories.
Cat age. The human-years scale and life stages follow the AAHA and AAFP feline life stage guidelines, as summarized by Pumpkin.
